Battery dead after about 2 years. The comfort plugs provided with the units fail in short order with poor connection. My unit has now failed and never passes stage 4 no matter which of my many batteries I use it on. I recommend bypassing this expensive and overrated brand.

Where is the power lamp on a CTEK MXS?

The power lamp is the lamp at bottom left corner below the Mode selector. It should be lit as soon as the unit is plugged into a mains power socket and it blinks after a couple of mins if unit isn’t hooked up to a battery. Manual doesn’t menion a case where the power lamp should not be lit so I am afraid your unit may be faulty.
