Does Malindo Air provide free food?

Petaling Jaya, 6 September 2019 – Malindo Air has announced that for travel effective 15 October 2019, passengers on its Economy Class will have the flexibility of choice over their in-flight meal selection with the discontinuation of complimentary meals and snacks.

What is complimentary meal in flight?

For passengers traveling within India, complimentary hot meals are served to customers booked on Economy Flexi and Standard fares. Customers booking on Economy Lite fares have the option to purchase light snacks and select beverages when our “Café Aubergine” buy-on-board menu is made available.

Does Malindo serve alcohol?

A wider range of snacks and beverages are now available for purchase onboard its Boeing fleet. These include hot beverages such as coffee and tea, mango and orange juice, soft drinks and alcoholic beverages.

Is there food and drinks on planes?

Most airlines are offering complimentary snacks and drinks again on many flights, while some are even offering food for purchases in economy and full meals in premium cabins. Most airlines that went dry have also resumed alcohol service.

Malindo Air offers variety of Malaysian menus and snacks on their routes depending on seat class, destination and flight. Special meal offerings can be requested in each class during booking, including children’s meals, religious or vegetarian meals.

Malindo Air cannot provide guarantees that meals are completely peanut/nut-free. Whilst Malindo Air will cater peanut/nut free meals requested, it cannot guarantee that there was no cross contamination as the meals may have been prepared in many different locations and inflight suppliers.

When do the food changes come into effect for Malindo Air?

The changes are a response to customer feedback and will apply to both Boeing and ATR serviced routes. Please note that with effect from 15th October 2019, changes will also be made to in-flight meals.
