More than 2,500 people work for the OSCE in 22 different duty stations in field offices in Europe and Central Asia and in the Institutions in Vienna, The Hague and Warsaw. Nationals of the 57 OSCE participating states are eligible to apply to the OSCE.

How are contracted staff members of the OSCE paid?
International contracted staff members are appointed by the OSCE on a direct contractual basis, hold an international post in the Secretariat or an Institution. Their salary is established with reference to the applicable net salary scales of the United Nations common system and paid corresponding to the personal grade and step.

How are the candidates selected for the OSCE?
Applicants will be contacted only if invited for interview. The selection is made after an interview with a panel of three or four Board Members from various departments of the OSCE. In addition, for a number of positions there is a test with questions specific to the position.
