How far can you see with a 1300mm lens?
How far can you see with a 1300mm lens?
A 1300mm lens would have an angle of view of about 1.7 degrees. At one mile, that means that something about 156 feet long would fill the frame horizontally on a 35 mm camera. Of course, you could see a car easily, but it would be relatively small in the frame.

Are Opteka lens any good?
The Opteka 650-1300mm lens is overall a good buy in my opinion, but there are a few things to note before buying it. It’s a lens for amerture photographers who want to get a handle on long-range photography without mortgaging their house to pay for it. I used my Canon 70D with the Opteka for this review.
How far away can a 600mm lens shoot?
Are you asking the minimum focusing distance of that 600mm lens? If so the answer is about 15ft. If you mean how far away can it shoot distant objects then that depends on how big they are and how big you want them to be in the final image. It also depends on whether you are using a Full Frame or APS-C camera.
How does the Opteka 650mm-1300mm lens work?
The Opteka 650mm-1300mm lens is very much manual zoom. You twist a ring on the lens to unlock the zoom, and then literally push or pull the lens out to zoom in and zoom out. It’s not a smooth process and definitely takes some getting used to. It also creates a lot of camera shake so be sure to let the lens rest after you’ve locked it back down.
Is the Opteka 420-800mm a good lens?
You might also want to check out a smaller Opteka telephoto lens, there’s a review of the Opteka 420-800mm lens here. It’s a very worthy alternative to the larger Opteka. Just a heads up, there are affiliate links in this post so if you choose to buy something through them, I get a little sumthin’ sumthin’ at no cost to you, thanks!
What’s the price of an Opteka zoom lens?
I’m looking at this Opteka 650-1300mm High Definition Telephoto Zoom Lens. They are selling for $269. The price seems almost too good. I want something for photographing the moon.
Is the Opteka T mount a good lens?
Screamin Scott wrote: Optically it isn’t bad, but otherwise a pain to use. It utilizes a T mount to adapt to whatever camera you are using, only has one aperture setting (F8 or 16 depending on the focal length set up and similar to mirror lenses), manual focusing (not really a biggie though) & stop down metering.
