The Buckmans, owners of the Spring Mountain Ski Area in Spring Mount, bought the two-story, 12,000-square-foot cast-off on East Park Avenue for $108,000 on April 1. In January, after a $1.5 million renovation, the couple will reopen it as the Woodside Lodge at Spring Mountain.

I started my working life at 15 at G. C. Murphy’s 5 and 10 in Brentwood (Pittsburgh) PA as a waitress, and realized how much I loved taking care of and talking to diners again here at Woodside…who knows, maybe I’ll wait on you again at another local restaurant in the future…I know I’m going to miss it!
