Why is all the hate still for DuPont Teflon?

OK, I understand there were risks associated with older Dupont Teflon, PTFE if you heated it too high but the new generation Teflon is made without PFOA so it won’t kill your bird and is a much harder finish, so much so that you can use metal utensils on it. http://www2.dupont.com/Teflon/en_US/p…
