How does BFPO post work?
BFPO is a mail solution in place to help armed forces military personnel receive mail. Locations used by the military, such as bases or operational hubs, have a unique BFPO number which helps mail couriers deliver mail to the right place and right people when on active-duty.
Where do BFPO parcels go?
BFPO mail/parcels go to either RAF Northolt or Ruislip for onward transit by HM Forces to the destination military bases. Posting with Royal Mail is equivalent to posting in the UK – UK and BFPO prices are the same.
How much is it to post to BFPO?
This service is available for all letter services (air and surface letters, small parcels and printed papers) to the UK, plus to and from BFPO numbered addresses. Prices start from £1.90. The maximum compensation that can be claimed is £50 for loss or damage, where there is evidence of the value of the contents.
