This is the standard suspension on both Sport line and M Sport line models. The adaptive suspension is called the “Adaptive M suspension”. When the ZDH/Dynamic Handling package is added to a Sport line or M Sport line model the standard “M Sport suspension” is removed and replaced with the “Adaptive M suspension”.

Re: Adaptive suspension – worth it? No negatives (other than the cost), just more comfort (if you want it) over crap roads / speed humps / etc. It’s not just a hard/soft option though, it can fully firm up in Comfort under heavy cornering/braking. Comfort = as soft as it can safely go at the time.

There is no separate suspension control for this in the i-drive system (although there are some ECO PRO settings). To me this totally squares with both my driving experience and the BMW rep’s description. For 2017 in the USA, there are now X-drive and simple FWD, and the m-sport suspension is now part of the m-sport package.
