Can I use my CityLink ETAG in Sydney?

Your Linkt Tag, Tagless, or Commercial account, or Sydney Pass, covers you for travel on all toll roads in Australia, including Melbourne’s 2 toll roads, CityLink and EastLink. Melbourne tolls are deducted from your account or pass as you travel.

How do I get a new ETAG NSW?

1. Open the Linkt app.
2. Tap the My Account tab.

4. Tap Order Tag / Tag Holder, select Tag Holder, choose the tag you want to order the new holder for and follow the prompts to complete your order. You will see an estimated delivery time.

Can I get an ETAG at Service NSW?

If your Transport for NSW E-Toll tag is faulty due to a battery or technical problem, you can take it to a service centre and replace it free of charge. If you replace a tag at a Service Centre, you will no longer receive the physical tag over the counter.

Can I use my NSW ETAG in Victoria?

All tags issued in Australia work on all toll roads throughout the country. So for example you can use a tag issued in NSW when driving on toll roads in Queensland or Victoria.

Can I use my Sydney E toll in Melbourne?

Casual toll road passes issued by Brisbane or Sydney toll road operators are not regarded as toll road accounts and cannot be used on Melbourne’s toll roads, except for the Linkt Sydney Pass.

What happens if your ETAG doesnt beep?

Your tag should beep once each time you pass through a toll point. If your tag beeps more than once, your account balance may be low or your account may be suspended. If it doesn’t beep at all, your tag may be incorrectly installed.

Can you borrow an ETAG?

No. You can only use one Tag in a vehicle at any one time. It is your responsibility to ensure that you only have one tag in the vehicle at any one time.

What happens if you don’t have an ETAG?

What happens if I use a toll road without a tag or pass? If you don’t make an arrangement to pay within 3 days of the trip, the toll road operator will issue a toll notice to the registered operator of the vehicle. The toll notice requests the toll charge plus an administration fee.

Do you have to have an Eastlink account to use CityLink?

A non-tag account only works on EastLink and CityLink. It does not work interstate. An Image Processing Fee will be charged in addition to the toll for every trip made. (The image processing fee is waived for motorcycles as they don’t have a tag option.) Fees, charges and amounts apply in addition to tolls. Pay per trip without needing an account.
