Poor political system that applied to all factions; I’m talking about the house / family allegiances, not campaign map diplomacy with other factions. The requirement to have a general for your armies. AI was more aggressive in its use of agents. Province management instead of individual settlements.

  2. send them on diplomatic missions or arrange feasts (this one is two birds one stone kinda deal)
