Where are the campsites on the Isle of Skye?

Kinloch Campsite is a friendly family-run site in the North West of the Isle of Skye. We are located at the head of the beautiful Loch Dunvegan and overlooked by MacLeods Tables, two distinctive flat topped hills that dominate the skyline.

Is the Kinloch campsite open in Scotland?

The campsite is fully open and we are taking bookings through our bookings page. It is now permitted to travel to Scotland from any part of the UK. Our shared facilities (including toilets and showers) are open with all appropriate coronavirus precautions in place, including, social distancing, enhanced cleaning, and upgraded ventilation.

Where can I buy pictures of the Isle of Skye?

Many of the Skye images can be purchased as prints, allowing you to have a piece of Skye in your home. To ensure the highest in quality we use Digital C-types prints. These are real silver based photographic prints, created on light sensitive professional photographic paper.

Where is the best place to stay in Skye?

The village of Dunvegan is a five minute walk from the campsite and has a good range of shops, cafes, pubs, restaurants and other services. Just on the other side of the village is the famous Dunvegan Castle and it’s magnificent gardens , seat of the Chiefs of the Clan MacLeod for over 800 years and one of Skye’s most popular attractions.

Torvaig campsite Is located 1 mile North of Portree town centre on the Isle of Skye. The site has a perfect location for visiting Portree and exploring the rest of the Island. There are 40 hard standing electric hook-up pitches for motorhomes or caravans and 50 tent pitches. Showers, toilets and laundry are on site.

How big is the bunkhouse on the Isle of Skye?

Built in 1998, the bunkhouse has four rooms of four bunks. There is a drying room, a spacious fully equipped dining kitchen, a comfortable TV lounge and BBQ area. Toilets/showers are located in the building & are suitable for the disabled. Wigwams are also available.
