What is the purpose of Alateen?

Alateen is self-supporting through its own voluntary contributions. Alateen has one purpose: to help young people affected by someone else’s drinking. We are careful to protect each other’s anonymity as well that of all Al-Anon and A.A. members.

Are there online Al-Anon meetings?

Electronic Al-Anon meetings are held online and over the phone. Electronic meeting formats include: Phone, Email, Chat, Blog, Bulletin Board, Instant Messaging (Skype, WhatsApp, Discord, etc.), Web Conferencing (Zoom, WebEx, etc.) and Social Media (Facebook, Twitter, etc.).

Is there an Alateen meeting in St Paul MN?

Today, there are more than 25,000 Al‑Anon and 1,700 Alateen groups meeting in 133 countries. There are more than 280 Al‑Anon and Alateen meetings in the Minneapolis and St.Paul metropolitan area. Meetings are anonymous and confidential. There are no dues or fees for membership.

Where do Al-Anon and Alateen groups meet?

Fridley Alano, 6279 University Ave NE, Fridley has re-opened. Most of the Al‑Anon and Alateen groups meeting there have restarted or are meeting virtually. Hutchinson Alano Club, 1170 Highway 7 W, Hutchinson has re-opened. Some groups meeting there have restarted in person or are meeting virtually.

How old do you have to be to attend an Alateen meeting?

When there are no Alateen meetings available in the area, teens are welcome in Al-Anon meetings too. Teenagers between 13 to 18 years old can also register to attend the Alateen Chat meetings.

Where can I get Al Anon calendar in MN?

Every year Minnesota South Area produces a calendar with the dates of Al‑Anon and Alateen events. The 2021 calendar is now out and is being mailed to all Minnesota South Area Al‑Anon and Alateen groups. Additional free copies will be available at Minneapolis Al‑Anon/Alateen Information Services and St. Paul Al-Anon/Alateen Intergroup.
