It is with great sadness that Bogong Village’s accommodation business has closed as from 1 February 2021 . We apologise to those people we have been turned away in recent weeks and to the many regular guests who have stayed in the village.

Does it snow in Bogong Village?

Every season you will be pleasantly surprised by the exotic seasonal changes from flowering in Spring, blaze of colour in Autumn and the occasional dusting of snow in winter.

Are dogs allowed at Bogong village?

It is important to note that as we are located in Alpine National Park cats are strictly forbidden however dogs and birds are welcome. At 800 metres above sea level, the village is just below the snow line. However, the occasional snowfall in winter can be expected.

Does it snow in Mount Beauty?

You do get snow at Mt Beauty but it has to be very cold and it has to snow to very low altitudes. You won’t need chains for Mt Beauty but you will need them if you progress on to Falls. It is more likely to rain in Mt Beauty than snow.
