Those knives are expensive and are sold according to the law of supply and demand. If there is a demand it’s cause: a) Somes people have a use for those knives. b) Somes people want to look like the people who have a use for those knives.

What does Strider SnG stand for?

SMF is well known to stand for “Strider Military Folder” as it was one of the folders made specifically for Military needs. SnG is a little more sensitive but if you search hard enough you can find the answer because some idiot made it public a couple years ago. lol. The SnG is named after two military heros.

What steel does Strider use?

Currently Strider does runs in many premium super steels (CTS-204P, Z-Wear, CTS-40CP, CTS-B75P, CPM-154, CPM-S110V,CPM-3V). Strider fixed blade knives utilize Steel, Paracord or G-10 fiberglass for the handle material. Strider uses a proprietary heat treatment originally developed by Paul Bos of Buck Knives.

Do I need a fixed blade knife?

It all depends on what you are doing. If you are camping, but not roughing it, and going for a weekend a folder will do. But, if you are roughing it or staying a long while, then you need a fixed blade knife. You get a stronger knife with more capability in case of real need.
