What are Dr Pulley Sliders?

What are Dr Pulley Sliders?

Pulley roller weights are the most advanced weights available. These sliding rollers perform better than standard round weights by allowing the variator to open farther for higher top speeds, and last longer with less performance material loss.

What variator weights should I use?

The lower the engine capacity, the lighter the roller/slider weight. While a 150cc scooter might use roller/slider weights between 10g and 15g, a 50cc scooter is more likely to be best with weights between 4g and 8g , while a 250cc scooter will usually use weights in the 12g to 20g rance.

How does a CVT roller work?

The CVT works upon the ratio of the diameter of the front and rear drive belt pulleys. When the rollers move towards the outside of the variator, the inside plate is forced together towards the outer plate and this moves the drive belt towards the outside of the pulley.

What weight are Pulley sliders?

While 18 grams is a popular choice, as they provide a little better performance and acceleration than the stock rollers, I chose 16 gram sliders for even better performance and pickup, especially when riding 2 up.

How does a variator pulley work?

The variator works upon the ratio of the diameter of the front and rear drive belt pulleys. Behind the moving plate of the front pulley, there are clutch rollers. These are thrown towards the outside edge of the variator by centrifugal force, as the rotation speed of the engine / variator increases.

Do heavier rollers increase top speed?

By changing your CVT stock rollers to a lighter weight, you can increase acceleration off the mark, and by adding weight, you can increase top speed.

What do heavier rollers do?

Lighter rollers = better acceleration, heavier rollers = higher top speed? In the shop we are asked on an almost daily basis for lighter than standard rollers for improved acceleration or heavier rollers for higher top speed.

When should I clean my CVT scooter?

Clean the system, as dirt may damage the components and affect driving comfort. Refer to your owner’s manual to know when your scooter needs CVT maintenance. Some manufacturers recommend a service after every 8 thousand kilometers and replacement after up to 24 thousand kilometers.

What is full form of CVT?

A Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) does not make use of gears like a basic automatic transmission. Rather, it uses 2 pulleys linked by a belt. It’s a bit like a snowmobile transmission: One pulley connects to the engine, the other one links to the transmission.

What are the different types of Dr pulley rollers?

The featured products include the roller weights, slide pieces, variators, the patented sliding roller weights and HiT clutches. We believe that quality is important to both customers and us, so we never compromise on quality. It wasn’t easy in the beginning when people tended to bargain on the price.

How does the Dr pulley sliding weight work?

Dr. Pulley —- UNIQUE Sliding Roller Weights Traditionally, gear ratio is changed by the up-and-down rolling movement of the roller weights in the ramp of MDF; Now the innovative Dr. Pulley Sliding Roller Weights slide up and down in the ramp of MDF to change the gear ratio.

What do you need for a dr.pulley scooter?

Dr. Pulley performance sliding weights, variator kits and HiT clutches are just the prescription you need to get your scooter running faster and smoother. The innovative design and PTFE-composite material ensure that these rollers will last and will not snag.
