The Government has announced Crossrail will extend to Reading. The project is now set to stretch from Shenfield in Essex, across London to Reading connecting Berkshire with Canary Wharf. It is currently Europe’s largest railway construction project.

Where will the new Crossrail stations be?
The Elizabeth line will run from Reading and Heathrow in the west, through 42km of new tunnels under London to Shenfield and Abbey Wood in the east. The new railway, operated by Transport for London, will be fully integrated with London’s existing transport network.
