Self-parking at Discovery Cove is complimentary, however parking admission at our sister parks is not included unless your reservation includes the Ultimate package. In this case parking at SeaWorld Orlando, Aquatica Orlando and Busch Gardens Tampa Bay is included with your Discovery Cove package.
Is Discovery Cove Orlando worth the money?
Yes, a day at Discovery Cove comes at a substantial cost, but you can definitely get your money’s worth, especially if you take advantage of admission to Sea World or Aquatica. The park in its entirety is beautiful and well maintained.
How much are the pictures at Discovery Cove?
Single 6 x 8 photos currently run $35 each plus tax. Packages range anywhere from $99-$229 plus tax. The Discovery Package which is our most popular option can be purchase for $219.00 if purchased in advance. Advance purchase can be made by contacting our reservation center at 407-513-4600.

Is the dolphin swim at Discovery Cove worth it?
Discovery Cove has several optional extras including swimming with dolphins and sharks or feeding sting rays. We did the Dolphin Swim. And, it was absolutely worth the extra cost! And, it was a big thrill being pulled through the water by a dolphin.

I’d say Discovery Cove is very adult like as it’s like an all inclusive beach resort with free food and alcohol and happens to have the dolphin interaction option. The interactions take place in one of 3 areas each of which operate 4 groups of 6-8 people throughout the day.
Do they take pictures at Discovery Cove?
10 answers. You are allowed to take photo and video equipment anywhere in the park with the exception of the dolphin pools for animal safety. If there is anyone in the group not participating in the interaction they are more than welcome to take as many photos or video as they like from the beach.

Capricorn is an Atlantic bottlenose dolphin (Tursiops truncatus) that currently lives at Discovery Cove. He was captured in the Gulf of Mexico on December 15th, 1972.
Do you need water shoes at Discovery Cove?
You can use water shoes. We wore flip flops which worked and also bare feet. Discovery Cove is sandy and most are walking around in bare feet. You do not need the water shoes, but if you prefer to wear them you can.
What is the best time to go to Discovery Cove?
Discovery Cove is open year round although water temperatures vary depending on the month you visit. I recommend visiting April through November for warmer water temperatures. The freshwater pools include Wind Away River, Freshwater Oasis and Serenity Bay.
