Training is offered across two half days from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. Registered learners will be emailed their individual Zoom links 24 hours prior to the session. Learner materials will be sent to the organization after confirmation of registration.

It gives you an Online Course portion and a Classroom Learning portion. You start with two to three hours of online learning in the comfort of your own surroundings at a time that works for you. Then you attend three days of live, in-person classroom training.

What does CPI training involve?

How long does it take to get CPI certified?

With our blended learning platform, you start with two to three hours of online learning at a time and place that works for you. Then you finish training with three days in the classroom. If you prefer to learn entirely in person, our traditional four-day classroom option is the choice for you.

How do I get CPI certified?

Visit the CPI TA/Training Request Form to request a Professional Competency onsite training for your organization. One-day trainings are provided at no cost throughout California for groups of at least 25 participants. The trainings are led by subject-matter experts in the prevention field.

Does CPI certification expire?

Length of Certification: Length of CPI certification varies between institutions. After successfully completing a CPI training at SCRED, certification is valid for 12 months.

What happens if I cancel my NVCI training?

If however, a cancellation is made within seven (7) or fewer days prior to the scheduled NVCI training you will be given credit to attend a future NVIC training provided by the Sheltering Tree. For cancellations or questions, please contact: [email protected]

What do you need to know about NCI training?

NCI training emphasizes physical intervention as a last resort and appropriate to the level of risk. Your staff can earn Continuing Education Credits while practicing strategies that are based on the latest evidence on brain and behavior.

Is there a cost to participate in the NVCI webinar?

This webinar is led by NVCI-trained facilitators, and participants will have the opportunity to participate in discussions and ask questions. There is no cost to participate. Please note: participants will not be certified.
