How hard is it to get into YoungArts?

A complete list of winners is then posted to the YoungArts website no later than the last week of November. With over 7,000 applications submitted to the program each year, approximately 700 lucky students are selected for admission, making the acceptance rate into the program around a highly coveted 10 percent.

How much money does YoungArts give?

Winners are chosen for their caliber of artistic achievement by esteemed discipline-specific panels of artists through a rigorous blind adjudication process. They are awarded in three categories: Finalist, Honorable Mention and Merit. YoungArts award winners at all levels receive cash prizes between $100 and $10,000.

How are YoungArts winners notified?

All award winners will also be announced on the official winners list posted on our website. Applicants who have not been awarded, but who qualify for YoungArts’ feedback program (see next question regarding feedback), will also be notified of their status via email.
