Do STI brembos fit WRX?

For 2008+ WRX models, ANY front Brembo caliper (older gold color or newer black color) will bolt to the front of the car. You’ll need 5×100 drilled STI front rotors to fit. On the rear of the 2008-2014 WRX, the older gold rear Brembo caliper will NOT fit directly, but we have a bracket kit that will allow it to fit.

Are STI and Evo brembos the same?

EVO and STi Subaru calipers use the same backing plates. Overall thickness of the pads are different. EVO has thicker pads than the STi – on the front. Rear pads are interchangeable.

Can you put STI brakes on a WRX?

From 2004 – 2017, the STI came with front and rear Brembo brakes which gave the STI great brake performance, and the good news is that these can be fitted to a WRX of a similar year range fairly simply. From 2004 – 2007 the STI had gold calipers, and from 2008 – 2014 the STI had black calipers.

Do you need rear Brembo adapter for WRX?

2006-07 WRX models have a different rear backing plate, so they don’t need the caliper mounting brackets to bolt the STi calipers on; they just need the rotors, available separately Note that these parts are for gold BREMBO calipers ONLY. If you are trying to fit Subaru two-piston rear calipers, you’ll want these adapters.

Can you use the original WRX STI rotors?

(Note that you CANNOT use the original WRX STi rotor, because then your smaller-diameter WRX parking brake will not reach the rotor.) You supply the STi rear calipers and brake pads (or buy the pads from us). You’ll have to bend or remove the rear dust shield to clear the new rotor.

What are the brake calipers on a Subaru Brembo?

You get genuine, brand-new (not rebuilt) Subaru Brembo 6-pot front/2-pot rear calipers in fluorescent yellow-green with black STi logo, KNS/DBA rotors (NOT drilled, unlike the rotor in the photos), OEM Subaru brake pads, and all necessary pins, clips, and hardware. Note that you MUST have wheels that will clear these calipers!

How big are the wheels on a Subaru STI?

All OEM Subaru STI 18″ wheels, and almost all 18×9.5″ Rota wheels we carry will clear, but 17″ wheels will not. Call us for more information on wheel clearance.
