Does WellCare have a deductible?
This plan has a $435 deductible. After you have met the deductible, the WellCare Medicare Rx Saver (PDP) will share the costs of your medications with you — see cost-sharing below. $435 is the maximum deductible for 2020. There are other plans with a lower deductible or even a $0 deductible for all formulary drugs.
Is WellCare and Medicare the same?
WellCare (HMO) is a Medicare Advantage organization with a Medicare contract. Enrollment in WellCare (HMO) depends on contract renewal. You will need to keep your Medicare Parts A and B. When you enroll into one of our plans, WellCare pays for services covered by Medicare.
Is WellCare owned by Aetna?
WellCare Health Plans has acquired Aetna’s standalone Medicare Part D Prescription Drug Plans (PDP). This means that starting January 1, 2020, you are now a WellCare member.
Does WellCare have copay?
There are no co-pays or co-insurance for this plan, except for cost-sharing as described by your plan. Members may have to share in the cost of health care services. If you do have a cost-share amount, you will pay your provider each month. In most cases, this will be for long-term or community-based care.
