The Burton Custom Re:Flex has been around almost as long as Burton and although it’s not the top binding, it’s still pretty solid for the price. The Custom is one of the most reliable beginner/intermediate bindings you can buy, and it can take you a good distance past intermediate if you’re on a tight budget.
Can you mount EST bindings on a regular board?
Please note that EST® bindings will only mount to boards with The Channel™. Re:flex bindings allow you to mount your bindings on The Channel™, 3 hole, or 4 hole pattern boards.
Do Burton bindings only work with Burton boards?
The Burton EST bindings are made to work exclusively with the channel system. These bindings utilize a screw on the inside and a screw on the outside of the binding which are then screwed directly into the channel. These bindings do not have discs and again are ideal to be used with Burton ICS boards.
Are Burton Freestyle bindings est?
They are not the specific EST plate for the channel but they do include discs that are compatible with the channel system. Will this specific binding work with a non-Burton board?
Can you put Burton EST bindings on any board?
The discs on normal Burton bindings are made to accommodate this, and therefore Burton disc bindings (non EST) from any year are the ideal match for any board with a 3-D Pattern. Again, EST bindings will not work because they are designed specifically for the ICS Channel.

Overall, the idea of Burton’s EST bindings on their Channel boards is a good idea. I haven’t had a problem with the bindings coming loose as long as they are mounted one the board when everything is dry.
Do Burton EST bindings come with hardware?
Registered. New EST bindings come with the hardware, but it’s not uncommon to buy used bindings and have that stuff missing.
