Is SuperShuttle out of business?

The Scottsdale-based company and its franchisees ceased all global operations in early 2020, even before the pandemic started. In 2019, SuperShuttle was acquired by a private investment firm affiliated with Maryland-based Blackstreet Capital Holdings, which eventually shut the company down in 2020.

Why did SuperShuttle close?

After more than 30 years of picking people up at LAX and other airports SuperShuttle has shut down at the end of 2019. However, due to increased competition and regulation changes those vans will no longer be picking people up at the airport anymore.

What happened to ExecuCar?

SuperShuttle, the long running airport shuttle service with the distinctive blue-and-yellow vans, is going out of business at the end of the year. Airports were notified this week that SuperShuttle and sister sedan service ExecuCar will cease operations on Dec. 31.

Where is the Supershuttle kiosk in Terminal 1?

In arriving at Terminal 1, the SuperShuttle kiosk is located across from the exit of Baggage Carousel 3. Follow the signs for Ground Transportation Sky Bridge and take the escalator down, proceed to the crosswalk, and look for the “Shuttle for Hire” island on the left-hand side.
