DuoDERM® Control Gel Formula (CGF) Dressing is a hydrocolloid, moisture-retentive wound dressing used for partial- and full-thickness wounds with exudate. DuoDERM® CGF® Dressing may be used for minor abrasions, lacerations, minor cuts, minor scalds and burns and skin tears.

It can be used on the body as a primary or secondary dressing. It can be used on skin tears and superficial wounds, dry to lightly exuding wounds, newly-formed tissue or skin at risk of further breakdown.

Can a duoderm dressing be used on a bed sore?

DuoDERM is also a wound care treatment that can be easily removed without injuring the skin underneath. DuoDERM wound dressing bandages are ideal for those wounds that are experiencing mild to moderate seepage. A DuoDERM dressing can be used on all types of bedsores, including stage 1, 2, 3, and 4.

When to apply duoderm hydrogel to a wound?

Apply DuoDERM® Hydroactive Gel directly into the wound. Do not fill the wound beyond the level of the surrounding skin. DuoDERM® Hydroactive Gel should be changed when the cover dressing leaks or is removed for routine dressing changes.

Is the duoderm extra thin dressing a contraindication?

Colonisation of chronic wounds is common and is not a contraindication to the use of Duoderm Extra Thin. Where systemic or local infection develops during the use of the dressing, appropriate adjunctive therapy should be initiated.
