Leading Cadet After completing your First Class Cadet you will move on to more advanced subjects. The Leading Cadet syllabus builds on what you have learnt during the First Class Cadet training. Taking longer to complete you will study less subjects but these will be in more detail.

Cadets may be required to pay towards some activities, for example an annual camp might be £40 – a small amount considering what’s involved. Most squadrons also charge subscriptions of around approximately £10 per month to cover running costs, transport etc.

Article 5: An Aviation Cadet will report any violation of honor by another Aviation Cadet of which he is witness or has unquestionable knowledge. How are Air Cadets ( ATC ) Squadron set up?

Each Squadron is run by a local civilian management committee, usually made up of parents of cadets. The subscriptions are set by the local committee and will be based on the costs of running the Squadron. Consequently there is no fixed universal fee – different Squadron’s may have slightly differing costs.

What do you learn in the Air Cadet Course?
