Is there any free parking at UQ?

Paid parking applies Monday to Friday, 7am to 9pm. Parking is free outside these hours. There are 6 casual CellOPark parking zones at St Lucia campus. You can see the location of all parking zones, including spaces for Persons With Disability, on the St Lucia Car Parking Map.

Do you have to pay for parking at UQ?

How you pay for casual parking at UQ depends on where you park. At St Lucia, you pay using either CellOPark or the Pay by Plate machines. At Herston and PACE, you pay using CellOPark. Other campuses and sites don’t have paid casual parking.

Is parking free on weekends at UQ?

Parking regulations apply 24 hours a day, 365 days a year: Paid parking applies from 7am until 9pm Monday to Friday, including semester breaks and mid-semester breaks. Paid parking does not apply on weekends, public holidays, or from Christmas Day to New Year’s Day (25 December to 1 January).

FACT – You can, and always could, opt out of the service at any time from the home page of your online account from any internet connected device, such as your smartphone (using the same credential you use for the app) by clicking the ‘Downgrade’ link and confirming, or by contacting our support via phone or email.
