What does Guerlain Shalimar dry down smell like?

It has a sharp leathery smell which is like burnt rubber, which made my nose itched. However, my opinion about this fragrance changed after a few hours, as the dry down is amazing, it smelled strongly of vanilla and sandalwood to me, which are my favourite notes. I didn’t smell any floral or citrus notes.
