The best of both worlds, you get a fresh hops garland for 1-2 months which slowly dry out to the dried form and last just as long. You can reserve Fresh Hops now for the coming season now, we advise choosing a delivery date in September for fuller aromas if you can.
Why do people hang hops?
What is a Hop Bine?! Hop Bines are lovely 3 metre long garlands of foliage and green ‘flowers’. They are grown in our Kent Hop Gardens and traditionally hung every year to bring luck!
How long do decorative hops last?
Ideally for house decoration, they should be replaced each harvest although they will actually last a number of years once ‘hung’ in a suitable environment with the flowers gradually turning yellower and the glorious smell diminishing as they age.
When do fresh dried hop garlands come out?
Our fresh & dried hop garlands are untrimmed. Lengths vary, approx: 8′ or 2.5m per garland. Orders are dispatched Mon – Thurs to avoid product delivery delays during weekends. All orders purchased now will be sent out once we start the hop harvest late August/early September.
