How long does it take to train as a Bowen therapist?

After taking our Certified Bowen Health Therapist programme, you will be required to complete practical and theory exams, and submit your case studies. To complete the entire training can take from 8 – 12 months depending on your schedule and class schedules.

Is Bowen Therapy covered by insurance in Canada?

Some provinces and certain insurance companies have accepted and covered the Bowen treatments under 3rd party insurance, though this practice is not a universal standard as of yet.

To become a Certified Bowenwork Practitioner qualified to work on the public, each student must complete:  Three classes of hands-on bowen therapy training (each class is 4 days in length) A written and practical exam  An approved course in anatomy and physiology (Minimum 120 hours) CPR-C certification (completed within the past two years)

What do you need to know about Integrated Bowen Therapy?

The Integrated Bowen Therapy (IBT) Course inlcludes 2 stages of learning, a certificate level and a diploma level. The certificate section of the course gives students the basic skills, techniques, and knowledge to successfully treat 70-80% of the physical aches and pains that people generally suffer from.
