HACC is offering not one but TWO language immersion study abroad programs in 2020! French Language Immersion is a late-start, spring term travel course. Students can participate in FRCH101, 102, 201 or 202 while studying in Antibes, France!
Is HACC open for classes?
Our campus buildings will be open to students and employees in on-campus courses or with scheduled appointments for select student services. We will increase the number of on-campus classes offered in fall 2021.
What is a blended class at HACC?
The goal of blended courses at any college is to provide the advantages of both traditional and online classes to students. Blended classes meet once a week and have a strong online component. These courses are called blended because of how they mix traditional and online learning material.
What is the difference between credit and noncredit classes?
Students who take credit courses receive a letter grade (A, B, C, D or F) at the end of the semester. Noncredit courses are classes offered through the Continuing Education Division. Upon completion of a course, students will receive a grade of pass or no pass. Noncredit classes are NOT applicable toward a degree.

Does HACC have Spanish classes?
HACC offers a variety of accelerated online courses, which vary slightly from semester to semester. Below commonly offered combinations of accelerated courses are highlighted: English 101 and English 102. Spanish 101 and Spanish 102.
How long are HACC classes?
For a 15-week class, a commitment of roughly 9-10 hours; however, for a 7-week class 19-20 hours per week may be essential for success. Students may need more time for some courses and less for others.
Does HACC have bachelor degrees?
The accelerated, 11-week term makes it possible for most HACC graduates to obtain their bachelor’s degree in as little as 15-18 months.
What is a zero credit course?
Zero-credit courses are not substitutes for paid student positions. These are distinct offerings specific to experiential learning, linked to a curriculum, and limited to one semester. Benefits to enrollment in credit-bearing or zero-credit hour courses: • Allows lab access to students engaged in research.
Are non-credit courses worth it?
Non-credit classes offer personal development and intellectual growth opportunities. Students who participate in these courses will expand their minds and learn new information about areas of interest. These non-intensive classes give students chances to examine, analyze and research topics for fun.
How do I apply to HACC?
Apply to HACC at www.hacc.edu/applynow. Within five to seven business days after applying to HACC, you will receive a letter from your campus admissions counselor welcoming you to HACC. Once you receive it, please review your letter for the following: Your HACC ID. A link to set up your college e-mail account.
Where can I Find my HACC class schedule?
Students will log into D2L Brightspace, an online tool, and complete their assigned work. As long as due dates are met, students’ work can be done on various dates and times. Your exams may take place on campus or online.
Is the HACC class on campus or via ZOOM?
The course will be taught at scheduled times that are split between on campus, in-person instruction and remote classes via Zoom. For example, a class may be held on campus on Tuesdays and via Zoom on Thursdays (both at scheduled times). Your exams may take place on campus or remotely.

When do hybrid flexible classes start at HACC?
Hybrid Flexible (HyFlex) courses allow flexibility in how students attend class on campus or via Zoom. This course offering may be piloted in the fall 2021 semester. You love the flexibility of taking classes from the comfort of your home, and you enjoy engaging with your faculty members face-to-face on campus.
