The average backup battery lasts 3-5 years. Under normal conditions the backup battery will recharge on its own.
How do I replace the battery on my ADT keypad?
Like many security devices, the hardest part about changing ADT batteries is finding them. Slide out the battery drawer, which is located behind the master keypad. Remove the old batteries from the battery drawer. Replace the batteries with identical types. Carefully slide the battery drawer back into the master panel.
Can the alarm system drain the battery?
