The Caddo is an ideal river for all levels of floating experience. The typical pool-and-drop river is gentle enough for novice paddlers yet with enough Class I and II rapids along the way to keep it exciting! Bottom line, there is a lot of fun to discover on this river, and we’re here to help make that happen!

What to Expect. This is a 7.5 mile float. When water levels are good, it mostly has a nice swift current with some stretches of deep pools and slower water. There are quite a few fun, easy rapids (Class I-II).

How much does it cost to float the Caddo?

Here you can rent equipment such as kayaks, canoes or tubes for floating down the river. If you have your own equipment, you can also arrange to catch a shuttle, which gives you access to a private access launch. The cost to do this is $20 for the first boat and $10 for each one after that.

Remember that NO GLASS containers are allowed and that your trash and ice chest contents must be fastened into your boat according to state law. You must also have a floating coozy on cans you are drinking from. You will be ticketed for failure to obey those laws.
