Does Alton Towers have free parking?

Standard Parking Gold, Platinum and Premium Merlin Passholders are entitled to free Standard Car Parking. There is no need to pre-book your parking space, simply scan you pass at the exit barriers! Standard Parking is between 15-25 minutes walk to the Theme Park Entrance.

The main theme park car parks are approximately 15 – 25 minutes’ walk from the main resort entrance. Car Parks A and G are approximately 1km from the main resort entrance.

Is Alton Towers Express parking worth it?

Express parking is not essential, as long as the monorail is running (it starts at 8.45 all being well) then you can get on it at the normal car park and ride in. If it isn’t working then it is a long walk.

Can you go back to your car at Alton Towers?

If you wish to leave the theme park and re-enter on the same day, please speak with one of our friendly admissions team who will give you a hand stamp to re-enter.

Where to park at Alton Towers theme park?

Motorhomes/Caravans can also park in the main car park as the spaces are quite generous. Please note, these cannot be left overnight. If your motorhome/caravan is exceptionally large, car parking attendants will direct you accordingly. To save time, why not park in our Express Car Park for £18 per car, located next to the Theme Park entrance.

Do you have to pay for express parking at Alton Towers?

Express Parking must be paid for online, in advance. There are very limited spaces available, and these often sell out in advance. A valid car park ticket is required to leave the car park, with barrier systems in place. I can’t find my car / My car won’t start.
