Cambridgeshire Libraries are open in line with Government advice. Please help us keep our customers, volunteers and staff safe, fit and healthy. We encourage you to wear a face covering, if you can. We will keep our buildings well ventilated and continue to manage the number of people in our libraries.

Can you order library books online?

If your library is signed up with Libby, OverDrive, or Hoopla, you can browse, borrow, and read books directly through the app. This option includes audiobooks, magazines, and other digital content. Some apps even let you send ebooks to the Amazon Kindle app, where it’s easier to read.

Can you take library books back to any library UK?

More than 4,000 libraries in England, Wales and Northern Ireland are in the Society of Chief Librarians initiative. Existing membership cards or a proof of address will allow people to use any library in the scheme, although books have to be returned to the same area.
