Is fasting allowed after 15th of Shaban?
The above hadith indicates that it is permissible to fast after halfway through Shaban, but only for those who are continuing after fasting in the first half of the month.
Can I fast during Shaban?
Ibn Rajab (RA) said: “Fasting in Sha’ban is better than fasting in the Sacred Months, and the best of voluntary fasts are those that are (observed in the months) closest to Ramadan, before or after.” That means that the most rewarding time to perform a non-obligatory fast is in Sha’ban and Shawwal.
When should we fast for Shab e Barat?

What should I do on 15th Shaban?
Many will use the 15th Shaban, or Shab e Barat 2021, for prayer, others will fast during the day, and some will engage in dhikr all night long. Some will go to the Mosque to pray qiyam al layl, the night vigil. Sadly, not everyone will be able to.

This is an ideal time to at least make an intention of observing these 3 fasts every lunar month.

According to tradition this night has special blessings that are directed towards the faithful. Therefore, as much as possible, this night should be spent in worship and total submission to Allah Almighty. Also, fasting is recommended on the day immediately following this Night, i.e. the 15th day of Shaban.
Can you forgive someone on the 15th day of Sha ban?
Remember to forgive anyone who you have a grudge against and resolve your problems with them, especially if they are family members, so Allah will forgive you. There is only one weak hadith regarding fasting on the 15th day of Sha’ban; however, it is from the Sunnah to fast the ‘bright days’ (the 13th, 14th and 15th) of every month anyway.
Is the month of shaban or Ramadan supererogatory?
It is reported that Prophet Muhammad, used to fast most of the month in Shaban except the last few days of the month. These fasts are supererogatory (nafl). Shaban is the month immediately preceding the month of Ramadan. The Prophet mentioned in a hadith, “Rajab is the month of Allah, Shaban is my month and Ramadan is the month of the Nation”.
