I find confusion on the one having the problem. In other words the cam sensor has been bad with the crank sensor being blamed according to codes ect. If the tone wheel wasn’t staying put wouldn’t it have the same symptoms even after I put a new sensor in?

Can a bad CKP sensor cause a no start?
You’d have to have a scan tool hooked up during the crank/no start to see what the ckp sensor was reading to be sure. I had the same issue with my 99, the tach wouldn’t move at all when trying to crank. I replaced the crank position sensor and haven’t had a problem since.

The symptom was intermittent crank only with gauges normal but no start. had the same problem with oil pressure sensors on my 97 finally mustve got a good one bc it never quit working again. i think the quality control on electronic sensors nowadays has gone to crap
