Born on June 16 to 33-year-old mother Phoebe, an Asian elephant calf made his public debut yesterday at the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium. Visitors can now view Phoebe and her calf in the Asia Quest area’s elephant/rhino building daily from 10 a.m. to noon.

Each experience will vary depending on what program work may be happening each day. Tours are approximately 2+ hours long and include plenty of time in pasture to see rare and endangered animals in their open-range habitats and learn directly about our programs from your Animal Management guide.

Can you take photos of elephants at Columbus Zoo?
Meet the Animal Care professionals who care for the elephants, and join them in helping to give one of the elephants a bath. Guests are not permitted to take photos during this experience. Instead, a team member will assist in taking a photo of you/your party when the Animal Care staff determines it is safe to do so.
