How do I increase the pressure on my Worcester Greenstar boiler?
How do I increase the pressure on my Worcester Greenstar boiler?
External Filling Loop
- Attach the hose to each side of the valve and open the mains cold tap.
- Open the second tap which allows water in to the heating system.
- Watch the pressure rise and stop once the bar reaches just about one and turn off both taps.
Why is my Worcester Bosch boiler losing pressure?
If you are constantly losing pressure in the heating system you could try the following to establish the cause: Check that there is no water being discharged from the pressure relief valve (sometimes referred to as an overflow). This pipe usually goes from the boiler through to an outside wall and terminates outside.
What should the pressure be on a Worcester boiler?
To work efficiently the Worcester combi boiler needs to operate on a standard pressure, between 1/ 2 bar, 1.5 bar is also a good pressure level.
Is there a leak in the Worcester Bosch Greenstar 30i?
The WB engineer did carry out a pressure test and the boiler did hold pressure when isolated from the ‘system’ and there was a slight pressure drop when he opened up the system which could indicate a leak in the system somewhere (rads etc.) but I cannot see any visible signs of a leak either from ceilings or rads / TRV’s.
What’s the pressure on a Worcester Greenstar 30cdi boiler?
1. Have Worcester Greenstar 30CDI condenser boiler and the pressure gauge has gradually crept into the red zone (hovering around 3). I have the pressure relief key but can’t locate the connector under the boiler. Can you advise me on the location and what target pressure should I be aiming for? 2.
When does a Worcester Bosch Greenstar go to zero bar?
When the boiler is at rest / cold and charged to around 1 bar the system holds the pressure. When the CH is switched on the pressure rises to around 1.3 bar and holds pressure until the CH is switched off and then it goes to zero bar. Any ideas ? Cheers. Looks like 1.3bar is the ‘triggering’ pressure! Most such cases are open and shut – ie obvious.
What causes pressure loss on a Worcester Bosch Greenstar?
If the pressure still falls, then the leak is from within your boiler. If no water comes out the PRV pipe, then it must be coming out the condensate one instead – and that means a failed main exchanger (‘heat engine’…).
