Command. Group Captain Phil Marr was appointed as RAF Marham station commander in July 2021. The station is close to the Royal Estate of Sandringham and Queen Elizabeth II is the station’s Honorary Air Commodore. The Queen has made a number of visits to the station, most recently on 3 February 2020.

What does RAF Marham do?

RAF Marham is the home of the F-35 Lightning a 5th Generation, multi-role, stealth fighter. The Station is also home to a range of engineering support functions from maintenance to frontline support. Over 3600 Service Personnel, civil servants and contractors work at RAF Marham.

The training area was the former Royal Air Force Station Sculthorpe, which closed circa 1992. What to do when you move to RAF Marham?

If you need help to find a house when you move to the Station or if you have any problems with your housing, you can get support from the Station Community Support Officer. Contact the Station Community Support Officer: RAF Marham have six welfare lodges that are available for use by serving personnel and their families.

When does the Rainbow Centre open at RAF Marham?

Opening times: Monday to Thursday, 10am to 3pm, Friday, 10am to 2pm and Sunday, 11am to 1pm. The Rainbow Centre caters for children from aged three months to 12 years with nursery, pre-school, daycare and before and after school facilities. The Rainbow Centre is located outside of the camp gates within the Service Families Accommodation.
