Welcome to Nepal Nepal joined the United Nations on 14 December 1955. H.E. Rishikesh Shaha was appointed as the first Permanent Representative of Nepal to the United Nations in 1956. Since his term ended in 1960, eleven Permanent Representatives served in that capacity and I am the 13th Permanent Representative now.
