Can I use Melodyne with Ableton?

Under OS X, you can in principle use Melodyne in Ableton Live either as a VST 2 (32-bit) or as an AU (32-/64-bit) plug-in. We recommend use of the AU version.

What is better Melodyne or Auto-Tune?

If this is the sound you’re after with your vocals, then Auto-Tune will deliver where Melodyne can’t. However, if what you are hoping for is a more transparent approach to the tuning, Melodyne is the best choice. When used properly, the vocals will be left sounding untouched but perfectly in tune.

Is Ableton worth the money?

The live functionality, intuitive loop-based production, built in instruments, samples and effects and integration with Ableton Hardware make it well worth the high price tag. If you do want a truly elite piece of software for making music, there aren’t that many options.
