In July 1693 the Fusiliers were at Landen, part of an allied army of 20,000 sent to assist the city of Liege. The French were still commanded by Luxembourg and they attacked the allies with a larger force. The British regiments once again bore the brunt of the fierce fighting and the Fusiliers were in the middle of it.
