Where is Serana in Dimhollow crypt?
Dimhollow Crypt is a large cave southwest of Dawnstar where Serana is trapped. It has two zones, Dimhollow Crypt and Dimhollow Cavern. A trail from near the Hall of the Vigilant runs above Frostmere Crypt on the way to the Shrine of Mehrunes Dagon; Dimhollow Crypt is a short distance up this trail.
How do I start the Serana quest?
You’ll have to defend the fort from a vampire attack, then go out and recruit two NPCs for Isran. Once this quest is complete, you will move on to “Prophet” no matter your allegiance. Speak to Harkon and listen to his speech to begin this quest. Serana will quickly track you down and begin speaking to you.
Can you go to Fort Dawnguard with Serana?
If you side with the Dawnguard, you can convince Serana to cure her vampirism after her father’s death. After Serana brings her scroll to Fort Dawnguard, you ask her “Have you always been a vampire?” while she is a follower.

For unknown reasons, sometimes Vigilant Tolan will be standing in the entrance chamber, watching the vampires, while another Vigilant Tolan is dead on the floor.
