What is CMAP analysis?
The basic concept of CMap is to use a reference database containing drug-specific gene expression profiles and compare it with a disease-specific gene signature. The CMap method is performed by simply submitting a list of genes thought to be relevant to a particular disease.

How do I use CMAP?
Open a Cmap Highlight the Cmap that you wish to open. Select File, then Open to have the Cmap open in another window. (Using the left mouse button and double-clicking the title (or icon) of a Cmap, or highlighting its title and pressing Enter, are alternate ways to open a Cmap.)

Where are Cmaps saved?
Documents folder
When you save a Cmap, the default location for storage is in a specific place, usually within a folder in your Documents folder. Within the Documents folder, there should be a seperate folder called “My Cmaps,” where you should be able to locate your Cmaps to move them, or attach to an email.
