What is QECO evaluation?

A QECO evaluation is based on individual academic achievement, as determined by Program 5. QECO only communicates with the teacher. After receiving a new QECO evaluation, it is a teacher’s responsibility to submit the QECO Statement of Evaluation to his/her school board for salary category placement.

How do I get a QECO evaluation?

To be eligible for QECO services, you must hold a valid Certificate of Qualification and Registration from the Ontario College of Teachers. Your certification must be accessible on the OCT Public Register, and your status with the OCT must be in good standing.

How long does a QECO evaluation take?

Turnaround time for an evaluation can vary from as short as one week to as long as three months, depending on whether or not all necessary documentation is provided by the teacher.

What is second class standing?

1. Second class standing in an acceptable five year undergraduate university degree in QECO/COEQ means the minimum B standing as recognized by the granting institution at the time the work was completed.

How do I apply for Osstf?

OSSTF/FEESO members will now be able to apply online at apps.qeco.on.ca. Any OSSTF/FEESO members who have submitted paper applications to OSSTF/FEESO since December 2019 are encouraged to go to the QECO website to register and then apply online.

How many AQS can you take at once?

Can I take more than one AQ at a time? Yes. However, in order to ensure that you meet attendance expectations and ETFO AQ’s assessment and evaluation criteria, candidates are only able to take a maximum of two courses during any fall/winter/spring or summer session.

What is minimum second class or B standing?
