Simply put, Peak Design straps use a quick-connectors (called Anchors), and those anchors can connect to your camera strap loops, or any of Capture’s quick-release plates. That means you can keep your camera attached to your clip and strap at the same time, or alternate between the two carry methods instantly.

Other than seeing them used by others in person, I’ve had no personal experience with the previous model so this review will not be covering any formal comparison.

Is the peak design plate compatible with the Acra capture clip?
No. It is only compatible with the Peak Design plate. Any Acra Swiss plate will go into the slot, but only the PK plate will lock into the clip. Bummer. Not buying another tripod. ? I know it’s a year later now, but wanted to say they sell their Dual Plate that fits both their Capture clip AND Manfrotto slots.
