Does removing baffles affect performance?
Removing the baffles will change how the engine runs. It will usually cause the engine to run leaner (less fuel), and a lean mixture burns much hotter that can cause damage. Removing the baffles will also mess up the power curve of the motor.

Can you take the baffles out of stock pipes?
The baffles are located in the pipes of the exhaust system of your Harley and can be removed without damaging the bike. You can take your bike to an authorized Harley Davidson shop to have this done, but the cost will be much higher than doing it yourself using tools that you likely have on hand.

We have a few # RR 34 52.5 115A which is a 55mm silencer mainly used on the BMW R1100GS or any other Staintune muffler with a 118mm diameter muffler body with angled spout. They will fit a range of other aftermarket mufflers, pretty much any canister with a hole that size and a angled spout.

IMPORTANT: Most Staintune Mufflers are only compliant with the restrictors supplied in place,Engine wear and induction system modifications may change the outcome of a stationary noise test.It is the users responsibility to maintain and keep the vehicles exhaust system in good working order.
