Ballast Point Brewing Company is an American brewery founded in 1996 by Jack White in San Diego, California. The brewery was sold to Constellation Brands for $1 billion in 2015. Its distillery business was spun off to a new company, Cutwater Spirits, in 2017 and subsequently purchased by Anheuser-Busch in 2019.

California brewery Ballast Point is now officially part of Kings & Convicts Brewing Co., a Chicago-area brewing company. Kings & Convicts Brewing Co. announced in December it would purchase the makers of the popular Sculpin IPA from Constellation Brands.

A must-see in San Diego, our largest brewery & restaurant is an impressive sight to behold with beautiful German copper kettles, a sprawling indoor/outdoor restaurant, patio with fire pit, patio games and merchandise shop. What do you get at Ballast Point in Miramar?
Comes with water! Ballast point beer, wine, soft drinks and food served here. As of now, take a pic of menu, order and pay through that. No “servers” but people that will bring your order and things you need. Lots of parking. Gift shop.
Are there any non alcoholic beers at Ballast Point?
There are non-alcoholic options for the DD’s at your table. Beers came out fast and a bit “overfilled” for 4oz each (nice!). Favorites were actually the Fathom IPA (so drinkable!) and of course the Sculpin with the characteristic bite. Would love to come back to try other brews fresh on draft.
