Is it necessary to undertake labour market testing (advertising) for a role to be sponsored under a permanent subclass 186 ENS visa? It was never required in the past. Is the 186 the same as the 457?
Whilst the employer must have ‘a genuine need for a paid employee to fill a skilled position’ on the 186 – this is not the same as the Labour Market Testing requirements on a 457. Please can anyone clarify? You are correct.
