Minimum age is 12 years. Children between 12 and 15 must be accompanied by an adult (18+). It is recommended that at least two adults accompany groups of two or more children to ensure an adequate level of adult supervision.

Can You Tour the tunnels in Fremantle Prison?

Get into your hardhat, slip into your overalls, lock into the ladder system and descend below the Prison to explore a labyrinth of tunnels built by prisoners. Tunnels Tours are currently unavailable due to COVID-19 physical distancing requirements.

When is the Torchlight tour at Fremantle Prison?

In winter (April – October) tours depart regularly from 6.30pm, with multiple tours throughout the evening. In summer (November – March) tours depart from 7.00pm, with multiple tours throughout the evening. We stayed one more day in Perth than we originally planned – just to see the torchlight tour and it was absolutely worth it!

The Convict Cafe is open from 10.00am to 4.00pm daily.
